  • Do you handle disability cases or complete paperwork required for disability?
I do not handle disability cases nor do I complete paperwork related to disability. I do not collaborate with lawyers nor do I make court appearances, unless court-mandated, nor do I offer statements or diagnosis letters for disability cases. However, you and/or your lawyer may request your medical records to be presented in your case.
  • What ages do you serve?
I am equipped to cater to mental health requirements across all age groups. Due to medication management constraints in children, my services begin at the age of 6. However, there are no age restrictions for adults.
  • What is your medication policy?
Medication prescriptions, if needed, will be sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy. Under no circumstances are we able to extend or replace a previously prescribed medication that is not part of the current treatment plan. ****NARCOTICS**** The medical necessity of any medication is considered given a patient's current presentation, medical, psychiatric and social histories and the decision to prescribe them is deeply rooted in evidence-based treatment. In other words, when it comes to controlled medications in psychiatry, i.e. benzodiazepines and/or stimulants, I will prescribe what a patient needs, not necessarily what they want. I do not prescribe hypnotics for sleep, i.e. Ambien, Lunesta, Restoril, etc...
  • What is the cancellation policy?
Notice must be given, and cancellation confirmation from Grounded Mind Care must be received, at least 24 hours prior to any cancellation, otherwise you will be charged $75.
  • Do I need a referral to see you or medical clearance?
Referrals are not needed. Medical clearance is not typically required. However a detailed medical history will be part of the initial evaluation and if any potential issues are identified you will be asked to follow up with your primary care provider, and/or a specialist at which point medical clearance may be required to proceed with certain medications that may or may not exacerbate your condition.
